CITI Awards Holistic Assessment Grant to the SEEP Network
Community IT Innovators announced today that The SEEP Network has been chosen as our 2008 Holistic Assessment Grant recepient. The grant is part of CITI's 15 year anniversary celebration - a celebration dedicated to giving back to the nonprofit community CITI has had the pleasure of serving.
The $10,000 nonprofit grant was awarded to The SEEP Network based on a variety of factors, says Grant Coordinator, Frank Hamilton. "We had many, many strong proposals, but we chose SEEP because of two main factors: (1) the potential to really go in and help an organization move to the next phase of it's technology advancement by bringing in a range of expertise; and, (2) because SEEP is in a position to really capitalize on the outcome of the assessment and further its mission."
Bill Farrand, SEEP's Director of Operations, is equally enthused about the opportunity that lies ahead. "The SEEP Network is a member of the global development community. Having our technology assessment proposal approved by Community IT Innovators is truly significant for us. SEEP recently updated its five-year business plan, and given the scope of activities and new directions outlined in this plan, we will undoubtedly face challenges in identifying appropriate systems and processes to manage change and improve efficiency."
CITI is pleased to be working with The SEEP Network. We also are very thankful for the energy and enthusiasm of the non-profit community, specifically all of the organizations that submitted a proposal.
